Sherab, 23yo, Katmandu. He is born in Kham, Tibet, and was only 2 years old when his parents started their journey out of occupied Tibet. His sister, 18yo is born in Nepal and now lives in India. His older brother, Tsering is 22yo and still is in Tibet, his parents couldn’t take him with them in their walk. “We have never met. My mother family took care of him, when my parents left. We talk few times a year: it is difficult because of communication restrictions imposed by the Chinese government”. “I believe we must separate the Dalai Lama from politics. Otherwise he gets all the blames, and he is the greatest spiritual leader. I would hope that Karmapa (number 2 with Panchen Lama) or Ling Rinpoche (One of the teachers of HH Dalai Lama) would become our political leaders”.
